Chinese Education Exhibition 2011

China is the most populous developing country, with 1.3 billion population, 21 percent of the world population. It is also a country of the largest scale of education in the world as well, with the number receiving education accounts for 26 percent of the total educating population of the world. China has turned from a country of large population to a nation of high level manpower, and is striving to become one rich in human resources.
Since the reform and opening up in 1978, especially the past decade, China has witnessed historic achievements in all education aspects, especially rapid development in higher education. Through years’ efforts, China enjoyed world fame in higher education. According to the rankings of Times Higher Education Supplement of 2010, there were 6 Chinese universities ranked among the top 200 in its ranking, which indicated the strength of Chinese higher education standards.

Education cooperation and exchange has always remained a priority for Chinese higher education, especially student mobility. The aim of the exhibition is to introduce to Singapore public about Chinese higher education, Chinese universities and subjects, as international students in China maintains momentum. The trend of international students to China has reached the stage of fast development, especially since the turn of the century, with a year increase of eighteen percent. In 2010, there were over two hundred and sixty thousand international students in China, among whom 3608 were from Singapore. China aims to be the country of destination for international students in the near future.
The universities participating in the exhibition are of high profile in China, with diversified disciplines and subjects. You will find a suitable university and subject for further study in China.
